Frenchie in Carrington has now closed.

After a wonderful chapter in Carrington, Frenchie has said goodbye to its original home and is now preparing for what comes next. In March 2026, Frenchie will reopen in a new, intimate space at 9 Darby Street, Newcastle, bringing our French-inspired food, beautiful wine and relaxed, playful atmosphere into the heart of the city.

Our Darby Street home will lean into Frenchie’s after-dark energy - a space that moves effortlessly from restaurant to late-night wine bar. Expect cosy corners, great cocktails, post-theatre drinks and nights that unfold naturally.

While the address is changing, Frenchie’s heart remains the same: connection, warmth, seasonal cooking and beautiful wine. It’s not fine dining. It’s fun dining.
