Frenchie is getting ready for its next chapter. In March 2026, we’ll be moving from Carrington to a new, intimate home at 9 Darby Street, Newcastle, bringing our signature French-inspired food, beautiful wine and relaxed, playful atmosphere into the heart of the city.

Before we relocate, we’re making the most of summer in Carrington, trading through to January 10 with plenty of reasons to visit. Frenchie will be open every Sunday for lunch throughout December, and we’ll also be opening for both lunch and dinner on New Year’s Eve — perfect for festive catch-ups and end-of-year celebrations.

Our new Darby Street home will embrace Frenchie’s after-dark energy, transforming seamlessly from restaurant to late-night wine bar. Expect cosy corners, great cocktails, post-theatre drinks and nights that naturally run long.

While the address may be changing, Frenchie’s heart remains the same — connection, warmth, seasonal cooking and beautiful wine. It’s not fine dining. It’s fun dining — and we can’t wait to welcome you into what’s next.
